Background of the Organization:

Amar Shopno Foundation (ASF) was established on March 20, 2020. It is a non-profit, non-political voluntary organization that emerged in response to the severe impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the inhumane living conditions people faced during that time.

The founder, Lutfar Rahman Hira, realized the urgent need to support the underprivileged, poor, and marginalized communities who were suffering greatly during the pandemic. Many people lost their jobs, struggled with food shortages, and were deprived of proper healthcare. In this critical situation, Amar Shopno Foundation (ASF) was born with the mission to stand beside people in need.

Since its inception, the organization has been working relentlessly in the service of humanity. At the initial stage, ASF focused on areas such as preventing child marriage, combating violence against women, women’s empowerment, socio-economic development, food and medical assistance, and awareness campaigns. Later, its activities expanded to include education, employment generation, and broader social development initiatives.
